Why don’t you have an online store anymore?
Due to cost-of-living hikes, financial belt-tightening and my mortgage interest rate tripling in the last year, I had to dial back on everything that wasn’t essential… and marketing Fly Out Day was, unfortunately, not essential.
So, less social media presence and marketing led to less engagement, less engagement led to less website traffic, less traffic led to fewer sales through my store which then led to less of a need for that store. Such is life.
You will be able to purchase both paperback editions of my book and the sequel, Torn Apart, on this website in mid 2027. I am currently putting all of my energy into completing the continuation of Dan’s journey and I can’t wait to set it loose upon the world. It’ll leave you, Torn Apart.
Amazon and select bookstores in Perth, WA, stock Fly Out Day currently, but if you want a signed copy sent personally be me, then please use the Contact Us form below.
Where can I buy your book?
Ebook: Apple, Google and Kindle stores.
Paperback: Amazon.com.au or instore at Mandurah Central Book Exchange
Why can’t I buy the eBook on your website?
Because it’s an absolute nightmare to set up (and protect the eBook content from plagiarism) through WordPress alone. I would need .epub plugins, code patches or third-party websites to facilitate selling eBooks and, even then, I couldn’t guarantee a smooth experience for the customer.
So instead, I threw that in the ‘fuck it’ pile and decided that making Fly Out Day: Second Edition available on Apple, Google Books and Kindle would be a much easier and more pleasant experience for the customer.
Can I return my book or get a refund?
If you received a poorly packaged or misprinted copy, yes. If you accidentally ordered 10 instead of 1, yes. In all other instances, sales are final and copies are non-returnable. Please see the Refund Policy below.
Can my child read your book?
I would strongly advise against that, both editions of Fly Out Day contain strong themes, stronger language and generally shouldn’t be read by those who are easily offended, shocked or disgusted. The eBook has the ‘Mature Content’ advisory and age restrictions set from 17yr old and up.
A book about an Australian zombie apocalypse isn’t really my cup of tea, but I still want to support a local author, how can I do that?
Ah, support comes in many shapes and forms, simply recommending it to a friend, or a work mate, makes the world of difference to an indie author. Or buy him a beer at the wetmess!
Refund Policy
I take great pride in providing you with high-quality products, exceptional customer service and I make every effort to accurately represent my products on the website. However, I cannot be held responsible for any changes in your personal taste or preferences after purchase.
Outside of misprints, defects and poor packaging, all purchases are final, non-refundable and non-returnable.
In the unlikely event that you receive a poorly packaged, misprinted or a defective product from me, I will gladly accept returns and issue a refund or replacement of goods. Purchases must be returned within 14 days of purchase, with proof of purchase, and in the same condition as received.
Why is your book listed for a different price elsewhere?
Because everyone wants to make a profit. I have no control over the pricing of my works outside of this website, for some reason the price fluctuates greatly.
AUD$24.99 is the set list price but I’ve seen copies up for $64.99 and, here’s the kicker, I won’t ever see a cent of that.
Can I pick up my book in person?
Are you going to go all Annie Wilkes from the 1990 film Misery on me?Haha While I prefer to post copies or sell them in person at events, some exceptions can be made. Please use the contact form below to discuss.
